Here we are. After the amazing images of Luke Fox suiting up as Batwing! We are now also treated to the synopsis of the episode titled, "Kane, Kate". We feel like it reads kind of like Bond, James Bond, but that's just us. We knew that we hadn't seen the last of Safiyah and whatever her plans are, they can't be good for Alice! Batwoman will finally have a time to take on Black Mask and we hope for good! After last week's episode, we are curious what the next steps are for Sophie and Jacob as well. With the Crows disbanded, will Jacob take a shot at Law Enforcement? Is Sophie looking to take a more permanent role in the Bat Cave? Read the full synopsis below:
A VILLAINOUS PLOT - Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) struggles as Black Mask (guest star Peter Outerbridge) continues to raise the stakes with Circe (guest star Wallis Day) as his henchwoman. Alice (Rachel Skarsten) and Safiyah (guest star Shivaani Ghai) cross paths once again. Also starring Dougray Scott, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang and Camrus Johnson. Carl Seaton directed the episode written by Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux (#217). Original airdate 6/20/21.

I really hope that [OceanLice] doesn't catch on... when I saw it... I couldn't stop laughing.
Same here, season 2 doesn't compare to S1, but with a title like, "Kane, Kate"... my expectations automatically went up. I knew last week would focus on Luke, as it should, but I would have expected at least one backstory scene with Circe-Kate as we are nearing the end of the season. I am having deja vu of Supergirl S4 and Red Daughter, they teased her arrival but then kept her hidden most of the season.
In your defense, the Admin has consistently (until now) been making comments that suggested there were only 17 episodes.
...
OceanLice?!? I can certainly see where that name would trigger something!
Okay... hmmm... I may regret this, but now that you mention it, I may or more likely may not know. A month or so ago, there was something floating around about Mockingbird anew and the shipping Ocean and Alice... But, it left me scratching my head... but that might have been the ship name OceanLice triggering me.
The quoting is mixed up in your last post. This way someone might think Catpat wrote what I wrote and vice versa. And I want to find my name at things that I actually have said/written.
Perhaps you shouldn't quote more than one at the same time.
*EDIT* Ah, looks better now
Ruby's departure threw a major spanner in the works, plus they only did 18 episodes instead of 22, so not only did they have to scramble and write all new episodes, and go thru a character intro all over again, but still cram in everything else that they'd planned into a shorter amount of time. Overall, the season has been a bit A.D.D. as a result.
The "familiar foe" and Alice's new mission are the synopsis for the upcoming episode #216 "Rebirth", not this last episode. Yeah, it gets confusing when the synopsis and trailers and recaps are all coming out within a few days of each other.
Do the words "Mockingbird anew" mean anything to you?!?
Quoting athena69: Indeed! I am still so psyched over the recast, but they have done so little with Wallis, so she has gotta be a major playa in S3... right?
Yeah, I'm really disappointed that she hasn't played a larger role this second half of the season. I really hope she becomes a regular, and not an occasional guest star popping in-and-out thruout the season, like they did with Julia (another disappointment).
Thanks
